Warehouse to Driver Program

 

Open to aspiring drivers of all ages, the warehouse is especially popular for those between the ages of 18 and 21 looking to bridge the gap between high school and a career behind the wheel.

How does it work?

  1. Work in one of Dot’s 13 distribution center (DC) warehouses for a minimum of six months
  2. Attend driver training school paid for by DTI
  3. Earn your Class A CDL
  4. Get hired by Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI)
  5. Complete driver training & orientation with DTI
  6. Hit the road in a DTI truck

Requirements for the Warehouse to Driver Program

  • Excellent work record
  • Supervisor recommendation
  • Six months full-time service in a Dot warehouse
  • Excellent driving record
  • No felonies
  • Less than Step 2 of discipline
  • DTI director of transportation approval
  • Distribution center (DC) specific truck driver training and orientation
