The Dot Foods Warehouse to Driver program is the perfect opportunity to gain some Dot experience while you work toward earning your Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Open to aspiring drivers of all ages, the warehouse is especially popular for those between the ages of 18 and 21 looking to bridge the gap between high school and a career behind the wheel.
The Dot Foods Warehouse to Driver Program is the perfect opportunity for current Dot warehouse employees, people under the age of 21, or people who have yet to obtain their Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) who’s career goal is to become a professional truck driver.
How does it work?
- Work in one of Dot’s 13 distribution center (DC) warehouses for a minimum of six months
- Attend driver training school paid for by DTI
- Earn your Class A CDL
- Get hired by Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI)
- Complete driver training & orientation with DTI
- Hit the road in a DTI truck

Requirements for the Warehouse to Driver Program
- Excellent work record
- Supervisor recommendation
- Six months full-time service in a Dot warehouse
- Excellent driving record
- No felonies
- Less than Step 2 of discipline
- DTI director of transportation approval
- Distribution center (DC) specific truck driver training and orientation
